The town of Adelaide takes its name from Queen Adelaide, wife of King William IV of England. Its owes its origin to a military post built on the banks of the Koonap River at the start of the 6th Frontier War in 1834, and the town was founded in 1861.
The Heritage Museum with its collection of fine porcelain china is well worth a visit. Nearby attractions include the Winterberg Mountains, Mpofu Game Reserve and the Kat River Valley.
This lovely 9-hole course is on the wide open spaces of the Eastern Cape Midlands. This course offers well maintained greens and enough bunkers.
