We've created this web site to help people to find things to do, see and experience in South Africa.

From a mom searching for something interesting to do on her son's birthday to the traveller planning a vacation or the adrenalin junky searching for something extreme; our aim is to help people to discover South Africa.

But we need your help. If you know of something that should be listed, please notify us.

Or if you are the owner of a adventure or outdoor activity, an attraction or providing a travel service, please list your business. And anyone can add a listing of a natural attraction such as a hiking trail, beaches, caves, etc.

It is free and will only take a few minutes of your time. All that we require is that it falls within one of the existing categories.  

If you're not sure whether the travel activity or attraction is already listed, please use our search to do a quick check first to avoid duplications. If your activity/ attraction is already listed, you can view the entry and update the existing information by login first. If unsure, please contact us.

Steps required to create a listing on Encounter:
Register & create an account
Login to your account
Select the category for your listing
Create a listing by providing a full description of your activities
Add your photos

Please note no accommodation listings - see categories.

 
We check all requests before implementing it and there will be a delay (maximum of one  working day) before any new listings become 'live'.
