Tucked away just over the hills outside Stellenbosch, Asara has been producing exceptional wines for many years. Established in 1691, the farm's history dates back to the earliest days of winemaking in the Cape.
Asara Wine Estate prides itself on being "Out with the Ordinary". They strive to produce a range of award winning wines that can please a diverse collection of palettes, from the discerning wine connoisseur to the every day wine drinker.
The name Asara is derived from the names of the African gods of Earth, Sun and Sky, expressing the harmony in nature's elements which is reflected in the range of wines. This perfect union gives the wines from Asara their unique character, and has led Asara Wine Estate to become known as a premium wine producer.
With views overlooking the surrounding mountains and vineyards, their Wine Tasting Centre offers a great location for sampling the range of award winning wines.
The enchanting, three-century old wine estate is also home to a spacious and modern hotel and restaurants. Guests can indulge in five-star luxury accommodation, fine wine tastings, superb service as well as gourmet or casual dining in either of the two restaurants.
