Bare Hoof Horse Trials offer trail rides just outside Stellenbosch with horses which are trained according to natural horsemanship methods and have natural lifestyles. They ride over Stellenbosch wine farms through the vineyards and fynbos to the top of the historical Bottelary hills.
Throughout there are magnificent views of Stellenbosch, its mountains, False Bay and even Table Mountain. They offer special outings which can include picnics, wine-tasting or watching a spectacular sunrise or sunset.
Only small groups (2-4 persons) are taken to ensure that you ride at a pace which all guests are comfortable with and that assistance can be given when needed. They can accommodate beginners as well as experienced riders.
A variety of rides are offered from 2-4 hour trips to 3 day trips. On request they also offer individual horse riding lessons in which they teach persons natural horsemanship and riding skills. The trail guides are experienced horse-riders who have been riding for many years.
