
The boutique cellar produces limited quantities of Sauvignon blanc and Chardonnay from low yielding vineyards positioned on cool elevated slopes. Cabernet Sauvignon is planted in deep red soils on the lower foothills and the 2008 Vintage will only be released in 2010.
More than 5000 trees and fynbos, indigenous to the area, have been re-established on thirteen hectares of rehabilitated land previously pine and gum plantation. Plans for a nursery to help restore and protect neglected slopes on the farm are on the cards as well as obtaining Champion status in the Biodiversity and Wine Initiative (BWI) of which they are already a member.
Visitors to the tasting room will be able to see spectacular 180 degee views of the Banghoek Valley and Simonsberg and enjoy wines.
Trading hours are Monday to Friday – 08h00 to 17h00, they are however closed on weekends and public holidays.
Cellar tours and group tastings are offered by appointment.
