Bergplaas is located in the mountains between Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. The wide valley has views of Simonsberg, Bosmanskop and Table Mountain and has an open feeling making you feel near the ocean. It has a unique micro climate which makes life outside a pleasure.
The park has been refurbished and reopened under new management. It is nestled between the old and new Helshoogte Pass roads and overlooking the Ida’s Valley dams with the Simonsberg Mountains as a backdrop. The sites are grassed and there is a new ablution block.
There is a beautiful swimming pool surrounded by lawns and electricity is available. The trees have grown taller and most of the caravan sites are layed out in the lower and more level area. The new owners are endeavoring to return it to its former glory.
Our sites are spacious and have 5 Amp electricity and water points. Our award winning ablution blocks have bathrooms, showers with plenty of hot water and are kept very clean. Braais are available to guests.
We work hard at keeping our guests safe and have good relationships with our neighbours. We employ a night watch man and patrol the park regularly throughout the night. Nevertheless guests are responsible for keeping their belongings safely under lock and key.
