
In 1988 one of the Cape's most foremost wine makers, Beyers Truter of Kanonkop Estate formed a partnership with four ardent wine lovers in Johannesburg with one ideal in mind : To produce a wine of exceptional character.
After exploring the Cape Winelands for a suitable location they found a perfectly situated farm in the Koelenhof area within the Stellenbosch Wine of Origin region and named it Beyerskloof. Today this farm produces world class quality wines and is especially known for their full bodied Pinotage.
The Beyerskloof philosophy is to give a truthful expression of the God given gifts they received and do everything in their ability to offer a memorable, world-class wine experience to all in order to be the South African winery of choice. Theit constant desire to be innovative, forward thinking and ultimately ahead of the pack is driven by a yearning to please the everyday consumer.
Visitors are always welcome at Beyerskloof for wine tasting or something to eat. The Red Leaf restaurant at Beyerskloof Wine estate offers one of most memorable culinary experiences in Stellenbosch. Here one can enjoy the calm and serene views across rolling Boland vineyards whilst enjoy great food and superior wines. The restaurant is open Tuesdays to Sundays.
