Nestled in one of the most picturesque valleys in the Cape winelands, one of South Africa's original wine farms eagerly awaits your arrival. With a winemaking tradition spanning over 300 years, Boschendal Wine Estate offers a veritable treat for wine lovers everywhere. This gracious national treasure is a familiar favourite to many and a glorious discovery for countless others.
The Boschendal wine tasting centre (Cellar Door) offers visitors the chance to taste and purchase the full range of Boschendal wines.
Cellar tours are available for 40 minutes long and include a visit to the red wine cellar. Visitors are provided with the history of Boschendal and background on its viticultural heritage. Tours depart at 10h30 and 11h30 daily.
Vineyard tours are also available 10h30 and 11h30 daily and lasting about one hour, these tours follow a route through the vineyard to a spectacular viewing point on the slopes of the Simonsberg Mountain. Limited to 12 people and only operational between November and April.
