The oldest town in the north-eastern Cape, Burgersdorp was founded on the farm Klipfontein in 1846.
The inhabitants became the envy of other Karoo towns because, being sheltered in a valley below the Stormberg Mountains, they enjoyed a somewhat milder climate and had access to their own water from the Stormberg Spruit.
The golf course was built many years ago in 1910, by a few golf enthusiasts and many golfers still enjoy playing here.
Golf days are Wednesdays and Saturdays, but it is open everyday.
It is a 9-hole corse and par for men is 70 and for woman it is 71.
There is also a bar and restaurant available at the club.
