BushbabyPlace lies only 30km NorthEast of Pretoria. Here you can do bird watching, game viewing, take a nature trail or just relax in the peace&quiet of the bush. To maintain the serenity of the bush, there are only 10 unique camp sites on the property.
Bushbaby Place is all about getting back to nature - camping the old-fashioned way.
It lies close enough to the city for only a short drive, but yet far enough to experience a true break-away in the bush.
On your way there, you will drive through a 250ha game conservancy which has Zebra, Kudu, Blue wildebeest, Impala, Waterbuck, Eland, Blesbuck, etc welcoming you to our area. At night the clear bushveld skies offer excellent star-gazing while you can hear the different sounds of nocturnal animals, eg. Jackal, bushbabies etc.
This 21ha venue is nestled between hills where you can explore the area on foot, enjoy the lovely view & fresh air, while watching game and a surprising diversity of bird species.
For the more curious, our nearby village Cullinan, offers many attractions including their famous diamond mine, antique shops, hotel and restaurants. In the vicinity there is also a lionfarm, wine tasting at Loopspruit, 4x4 course at Sandwani and the Dinokeng Big 5 Nature Reserve.
To give you the true bush-experience and to adhere to the rustic theme, the entire site is specifically designed without electricity or other modern luxuries eg. swimming pools or paved roads. There are however power-points to rent in a secure room at the boma-area where camping fridges can be pluged in. Limited lighting is provided with solar lights for the ablution block & warm water is obtained from gas geysers.
Bushbaby Place offers 10 unique bushveld stands for tents & caravans, serviced by 1 ablution block with a scullery. There is a cozy boma & braai area where a bonfire can be made and guests can bring their own food and drinks, enjoying a pleasant evening making new friends.
The campsite is not fenced off so you might be startled by some unexpected antelope or other animal activity upon exiting your tent.
To retain the serenity of the park, no generators are allowed. For your privacy & security, no day-visitors are allowed without prior arrangement.
For special occasions, the boma can be rented out and by prior arrangement, catering can also be provided. A shop & petrol station is situated within a 3km radius for any urgent shopping needs.
