Faizal Gangat is a third-generation South African and is married with two children. After many years in the family business, he obtained his Tourist Guiding Badge in 2001 and worked as an on-board guide for a large Tour Company in Cape Town. He soon realized that tourism was not benefiting the majority of Capetonians on the Cape Flats.
He began doing Township tours in his old Mercedes, and before long he had to formalize the business and purchase a Microbus.
Because of his commitment to transformation through tourism, he developed several Cultural Tourism Routes in the Townships, including small businesses like guest houses, restaurants, taverns, craft markets and community centers.
The company owns four vehicles and employs 4 free-lance driver-guides. In addition, they have access to a large range of vehicles through their network partners in the coach hire business.
