We are based in Stellenbosch and operate from Stellenbosch airfield, who boast one of the most scenic runways in South Africa. We offer 3 specific packages, but can also adapt any package to suit your personal needs.
The packages are as follow:
Package 1: Boland Scenic (Approximately 1 hour) - We take off from Stellenbosch Airfield departing towards the North. After Simonsberg we fly over the Paarl Valley turning right over Bainskloof Pass. Thereafter we fly via the Breede River Valley south east through a mountainous landscape towards the Theewaterskloof dam. Optional and/or weather dependant we then fly through either Franschoek Pass or further south over Sir Lowry's Pass back to Stellenbosch.
Package 2: Prince Albert day trip - We depart at seven o'clock after coffee and rusks served at the hanger, overlooking Stellenbosch and the surrounding mountains. Weather dependant we will either fly through the Paarl Valley or over Franschhoek to Prince Albert.
In Prince Albert, enjoy breakfast and a wine or olive tasting. Then spend the afternoon to browse through the many interesting shops and art galleries. After the excursion we depart over the Swartberg Pass, fly over the Overberg region descending over the Sir Lowry's Pass back to Stellenbosch Airfield where a transfer will take you back to your hotel.
Package 3: The best stargazing in South Africa is now only an hour away from the Cape. Fly from Stellenbosch airfield in a Cessna 210 six-seater in the afternoon in a scenic flight over the spectacular Ceres-Karoo to land at Sutherland, one of the world’s best stargazing meccas. Stay over in the Karoo and experience the stars like never before. Return the next morning after breakfast.
