More than two centuries ago, this historic 1791 Cape Dutch Homestead was the last outpost (literal translation of the farm's name) on the road between Cape Town and Stellenbosch. Uiterwyk farm has been a De Waal family concern since 1864. The current family winemakers are the ninth generation of the family involved in wine making in South Africa.
The wines at DeWaal's combine Old World finesse and New World abundant fruit. The wines are limited release only. Available at specialist wine shops, gourmet restaurants, or from the farm itself.
