
The Ditsong National Cultural History Museum houses vast collections dealing with the cultural heritage of the people of South Africa, starting from the Early Stone Age, through the Iron Age up to the present. Art, craft, science and technology, as well as the tangible aspects of our heritage are represented in these collections. The museum focus on diverse South African cultures and the history of its people.
The museum has access to a collection of about three million objects which are displayed in a variety of permanent and temporary exhibitions. A restaurant, curio shop, auditorium and library all make part of this museum.
