Nestled between Groenberg Mountain and the lovely Bain's Kloof Mountains in the land locked valley, lies Doolhof. From here the name Doolhof, the Afrikaans word for labyrinth. Only the best quality grapes are handpicked to be made into wine that can be enjoyed under the Doolhof label.
A large terrace with cooling fountains and a shady garden, adjoins the Tasting Room, makes it ideal for enjoying the light lunches on offer, or a quiet stroll through the gardens. Light lunches prepared from fresh, local ingredients by the chef of Grand Dédale Country House on the estate, and paired with Doolhof Estate wines, are available on a daily basis.
Visitors can enjoy delicious picnic lunches including vegetarian and kiddies' picnics. Reservations should be made 24 hours in advance and by 12 noon on Fridays, for a weekend picnic basket. Also available at Doolhof is a River Walk and a hiking trail for further enjoyment.
