Egerton Game Ranch is on the Orange River 20km upstream of Hopetown in the Northern Cape of South Africa. The ranch is 3000ha with 10km of Orange River frontage. It boasts a river side camp with en-suite facilities, 10 game species, abundant birdlife and more. It is also the venue for the South African National White Water Rafting and Kayak Rodeo Championships.
Come to Egerton for guaranteed white water and grade 2, 3 and 4 rapids. The rafting trips are done in two-man inflatable rafts. All the necessary equipment is provided. Experienced and qualified guides ensure your safety and enjoyment.
The 4-Day White Water Rafting is the best the Orange has to offer. This exciting trip will take you through the Egerton rapids and Thunder Alley. No prior experience is needed and all equipment and guides are provided. Safe for all ages. Rate includes food and lodge-based accommodation. Maximum 50 people.
Spend a day in a sea kayak relaxing on a scenic paddle through grade 1 & 2 rapids and follow it with some adrenaline-pumping grade 3 - 4 rafting. No prior experience is needed and all equipment and guides are provided. Rate includes food and accommodation at Egerton camp. Maximum 10 people - minimum 4 (Min. age 8 years).
