During each school holidays, Johannesburg zoo organizes 2 holiday programs for children under the age of 14.
The tour for 6 year olds is a unique interactive fun outdoor program for young children, while the tour for 7-13 year olds is a fun program to enable children to get to know the zoo and its animals. Children will also get sneak peek at one night room each day, where they can see animals really close. Night rooms are used by animals to relax and hide from rough weather conditions. Children will also have a craft activity or a game.
The Johannesburg Zoo offers a range of activities for both young and old to be enjoyed, these include ZooDay Safaris, Behind-the-Scenes Tour, Night Safaris, Holiday Programmes and School Programmes.
