Journeys End is the Gabb family Estate with the most stunning views overlooking False Bay. This super premium family estate is home to a consistent stream of award winning wines under the Journeys End banner. The family’s vineyards benefit from the mineral rich soils of the unique Schaapenberg Terroir and surround what is a brand new winery and beautiful tasting facility.
All Journeys End’s wines come from carefully chosen hand picked grapes from an exceptionally low yielding single vineyard beside the winery. The costal breezes allow for a long ripening period creating wines with exceptional elegance. This year Journeys End opens it doors for the first time to the public for personalised educational wine tastings and cellar tours,
At Journey’s End they produce 4 varietal wines - each with their own complex character, each unique yet true to the terroir. Minimum interference with fruit is the centre of their winemaking philosophy. Only the very best French oak is used to add complexity and elegance to these wines. Shortly they will be increasing the range through new plantings of Viognier, Mourvèdre, Petit Verdot and Sauvignon Blanc - an exciting step forward.
They have recently released two new Super Premium wines to highlight the pinnacle of our winemaking - Journey’s End ‘Destination Chardonnay’ and ‘The Cape Doctor Shiraz’.
