The Karoo National Park has a wide variety of endemic wildlife. Many species have been relocated to their former ranges - such as black rhino and buffalo, as well as Cape mountain zebra. Over 20 breeding pairs of black eagle find sanctuary within the park

Towering mountains and rolling plains welcome you to Karoo National Park. The Park, 10km from the picturesque town of Beaufort West, is part of the largest ecosystem is South Africa, Great Karoo.
Rock strata and fossils take you back to the ancient times, when the area was a freshwater lake inhabited by large mammal-like reptiles and primitive amphibians.
The Park offers you self-catering and daily-serviced accommodation, which is accessible to everyone including physically impaired visitors. Cottages, Chalets, Caravan and Camping sites make up the selection of accommodation facilities. Conference facilities are also available.
Enjoy and partake in some of the Karoo National Park's adventure and outdoor activities such as: scenic drives along the scenic Klipspringer Pass, Game viewing, Nature and 4x4 Trails, Bird-watching and the 400 metres long Karoo Fossil Braille Trail for handicapped visitors.
