Following the refurbishment of our restaurant it became fitting to rename it after Mary Kingsley, a 19th century explorer. Studying natural history, the cultures of African tribes and collecting rare fish species for the British Museum, her adventurous spirit took her through North and West Africa between 1893 and 1900.
The new menu embraces the culinary diversity of Africa. A variety of colonial and traditional African dishes, which takes the diner on a journey from Cape Town to Cairo, have been introduced to all the menus including the traditional Sunday lunch. Spices of the East, the French influence from West Africa, traditional Tangine dishes from North Africa and Ethiopian flat bread are a few of the items which have been incorporated to create an unique dining experience.
