
Masebe Nature Reserve is set in spectacular scenic surroundings near the town of Marken, the 4500 hectare provincial park is a joint venture between the Limpopo government and the Bakenberg community in which all stakeholders are working together to promote tourism-driven economic development.
The variety of rock formation, vegetation and rivers make this reserve exceptionally beautiful. Wildlife species encountered regularly includes sable, tsessebe, giraffe, zebra, nyala, eland kudu, leopard and others. Besides the renovated camp for visitors and the conference centre, this reserve is also proud host of an Ivory Route Camp.

Masebe Nature Reserve is the home of the famous three bushveld San rock-art sites. It allows its visitors a window to experience, through the rock paintings, how the San tribe lived and hunted game such as elephant and buffalo in the area.
It was here where the legend of the San tribe is safely preserved, untouched and unspoilt. Its camp forms part of the internationally renowned Waterberg Biosphere which was the first savannah biosphere reserve registered in South Africa.
