
Tucked away on the South African side of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier National Park lies Mata Mata Rest Camp.
Accommodation at this traditional camp provides relaxed chalavans, chalets and campsites, a shop where essential and luxury commodities can be obtained and an information desk for your convenience.
Picnic areas with ablution and barbecue facilities as well as a refreshing swimming pool that acts as an oasis for those sweltering hot days. On the edge of a waterhole by Mata Mata Rest Camp a secret hide can be found that attracts a variety of game and birds, becoming an excellent feeding ground for Lions & Hyena's. Guests can spend time looking for that elusive rare species.
Mata Mata Camping has 20 camping sites each with barbecue facilities, communal ablution & laundry facilities, Electricity and power points supplied at the sites.
The camp has a reception, swimming pool, shop and fuel facilities. A generator provides electricity for 18 hrs per day and there is no telephone or cellphone reception.
