Meiringskloof Nature Park is situated in the Eastern Free State, 1.7 km from the town of Fouriesburg, 11 km from the Lesotho Border and 90 km from the Katse Dam in Lesotho.
The park is a beautiful, scenic area that provides the ideal place to breath fresh air and restore your spirit. For nature lovers it has everything - mountains, scenic viewpoints, bird life, indigenous vegetation, sandstone formations, hiking trails, ravines, mountain streams, exquisite night sky and spectacular sunsets.
Meiringskloof itself consists of self-catering sandstone chalets and caravan/camping facilities located in a beautiful kloof surrounded by sandstone cliffs with open caves, thick indigenous bush and abundant bird life.
Simply relax in the tranquil surroundings, or hike, swim, go horseriding or abseiling. For the 4x4 enthusiast very scenic 4x4 routes with spectacular views (and varying degrees of difficulty!) can be undertaken.
To preserve the natural surroundings only a limited number of chalets and caravan/camping sites have been developed.
