Don’t forget that diving Southern Africa has whales, dolphins, turtles, moray eels, rays, frogfish, huge groupers, Nudibranchs, all the tropical and sub tropical marine life that even a scientist would be happy with.

The marine environment is so diverse from the cooler waters of the Cape to the tropical waters of Mozambique, with wrecks and amazing reef diving in-between, that one safari might not be enough.

Meridian Dive will provide a Southern Africa Safari that will not only give unforgettable diving but also land safaris in Northern Natal where one can see also see the Big 5 Game Animals.

Barry and Celia Coleman have 20 years of experience diving the waters of Southern Africa. This provides you with a wealth of experience which is hard to match.

One of South Africa’s newly proclaimed marine protected areas, the Aliwal Shoal is home to South Africa’s first Shark Park. Dive with Tiger Sharks without cages to depths of +- 10 metres.

Enjoy a short vehicle ride down to the river mouth for the exciting surf launch on a zodiac. The zodiac takes a maximum of 11 divers, including the divemaster/instructor to lead the dive, plus the skipper with loads of daily experience.

Launch times: 06:00, 08:00, 10:00 and 12:00 wind permitting.
