Montagu Cellar is situated in the heart of the town centre, and has been in operation since 1941. The cellar embraces the fortitude of the town. This is reflected in a range of new label designs which is characterised by its subtle sophistication and respect for the environment. Montagu is well-known for its exquisite rock formations, well preserved architecture and the natural beauty and small town feel.
The Montagu Cellar is proud of the variety of trophies that they have received for all their champion wines. The Cellar has been rewarded the Champion Co-op Cellar of the region various times. Their popular red Muscadel has been rewarded four times at the Nederburg Wine Auction where it was described as "the best wine for the price anywhere in the world".
