Stellekaya is a privately owned boutique wine producer situated in the heart of the Cape Winelands.
The cellar is located in the famous town of Stellenbosch and we source all of our grapes from producers in this appellation.From the outset they have focused on producing wines from noble red varietals.
Today they are proud to produce a collection of red wines that typify the Stellenbosch terroir and also meet international super-premium quality standards.
The cellar had been completely renovated and has a capacity of about 20,000 cases (6 x 750ml) of premium red wine a year.
All of their production is made using the traditional “pigeage”, punch down method in open fermentation bins. The fruit is cooled on arrival and a cold maceration process is applied to ensure that the fruit flavors are captured prior to fermentation taking place
All their wines are pressed using a wooden basket press followed by 100% maturation in French Oak Barrels.
