Strooidak or 'Strawroof' Church is on Main Road in Paarl. It is one of the older buildings in the town and is striking with its white washed walls, straw roof and appealing garden.
The present day church held its inaugural address in 1805 and has since undergone several renovations.
The Dutch Reformed church is very active within the Paarl community and is often host to weddings on the weekends. It may therefore not be possible to perform a complete visit of the church but it is still worth a visit despite this. The graveyard at the back is even older than the church itself.
