Nestling at the Foot of the Majestic Magaliesberg Mountains, near the Hartbeespoort Dam, lies the Tangaroa Strawberry Farm. Here you can enjoy a day at the Tangaroa Spa, stay over in their guest house or simply visit for the day to pick some delicious strawberries.
Organic Strawberry Picking is available to the public from 10:00 till 16:30 every Saturday and Sunday during the Strawberry season. The season extends from approximately late September to December every year. Exact dates are dependant on the weather.
Special interest and school groups who would like to come strawberry picking are accommodated by appointment during weekdays throughout the strawberry season. When the strawberries are in plentiful supply, they will provide you with a container to put them in, before weighing, and charging at the going rate per Kg.
The Tangaroa Restuarant & Tea Garden is open during the strawberry season on Saturdays and Sundays for breakfast orders , light lunches and of course, many decadent strawberry delights are also served throughout the strawberry season.
Picnic baskets are available by appointment only, during the day or as a candle-light option.
