
The auditorium seats 540 guests if the pit is not utilised. There is space for two wheelchairs at the rear of the auditorium. It has 16 rows of seats (without the pit). The size of the orchestra pit determines the number of seats. The distance from curtain to back row is 19.90m.
The Theatre stage consists of the main stage, rear stage and a left hand side stage. The main stage is 20.4m wide and 12.8m deep and has built-in inner and outer turntables. Rear stage has an electrically operated wagon.
The basic pit when lowered can accommodate up to 20 musicians (reduces thestre seating to 530). If expanded to hold 45 musicians only 498 seats are available. It has three individual lifts. The lifts can be set at four standard levels namely: Understage, orchestra pit level, auditorium floor level and stage level to form an apron or thrust stage.
There are two rehearsal rooms on third floor of Opera House wing which are the same size as the Opera House stage. A third rehearsal room is situated in the Theatre wing. The Annexe is a temporary facility behind the Theatre wing and is used for training, rehearsals and workshops.
The Opera house auditorium currently seats 1187 with space for two wheelchairs. The stalls hold 23 rows of seats and the balcony seven. The distance from curtain to back rows are respectively 26.10m and 29.70m
