Tudor Estates offers you breakaway with peace, tranquillity, wide open spaces and unsurpassed fly fishing. Weltevreden Farm is perched on the eastern escarpment, with spectacular views.
There is 7 Km of crystal clear mountain river with approximately 30 natural pools and gabions, as well as 4 dams, provide variety and challenge for both novice and the expert fisherman. All waters are regularly stocked from our own hatchery. Catch and release is practiced on certain stretches of the river.
A booking at one of their cottages includes fly fishing for 4 persons. There are no separate rod fees. The individual daily bag limit is 2 trout per person, to a maximum of 8 fish per cottage per day.
All catches, including those released, should be recorded in the Fishing Register on a daily basis with the relevant details of weight and length. Fly used etc This is to assist with re-stocking and to pass on useful information to other fishermen.
They would like to reassure visitors that they are geographically situated on waters where trout are permitted and so able to continue the tradition of trout fishing at Weltevreden that has been in place for 105 years.
