Vredenheim is situated in the heart of the Boland outside of Stellenbosch. The splendour of the estate includes vineyards, meadows and a historical mansion that was declared a National Monument in 1975.
Both the Eerste river and the Blaauwklippen river flow through the farm that is already more than 300 years old. The farm has been a winefarm ever since 1691. From 1932 - 1960 mainly port, sherries, sweet and semi-sweet wines were produced and exported. Today the farm produces a variety of red wines as well as Sauvignon Blanc and Rosé.
There is not a dull moment on this true South-African farm, home of the Bezuidenhout family. Part of the charm of the farm is that the ownership resides in a true Afrikaans-speaking family where hospitality is still considered an important virtue.
Wine, Coffee and food, game drives, picnics, restaurants, conference centre, functions venues, nursery, astounding gardens, wonderful get-togethers - this is all part of the fun provided by Vredenheim.
