Previously known as Monument Golf Club, the new layout golf course and upgrading of the club house facilities was recently completed.
The new Waterkloof golf course was redesigned by Peter Matkovich and more water hazards and bunkers come into play than before. The slopey bent grass greens are always a test to any golfer to save par on any hole.
Hole 2 is a 498 meter downhill dogleg left par 5 with a large bluegum tree protecting the left edge of the dogleg approximately 240m off the tee. There is also a single fairway bunker on the right side of the fairway. The tee shot favours a draw and the green is then in play for the longer hitter who manages to negotiate the various hazards. The green is surrounded by mounds on the right and is one of the flatter greens on the course.
