South African Animal sanctuaries focus on the conservation of rare, vulnerable or endangered animals. These sanctuaries are excellent destination for anyone interested in observing and learning about some of the most fascinating animals ranging from birds and mammals to raptors and reptiles.

With approximately twenty birds of over a dozen species, the Raptor Centre offers visitors an up close view of vultures, falcons, owls, hawks, and eagles. |

The African Bird of Prey Sanctuary is dedicated to the conservation of indigenous raptors and focus on ongoing research, breeding and rehabilitation projects for birds of prey. |
