SANCCOB Bird Sanctuary

Western Cape, Bloubergstrand

SANCCOB aims to conserve and protect South Africa´s sea birds, especially threatened species, for the benefit of present and future generations. Since SANCCOB´s establishment in 1968, they have treated over 85 000 seabirds.

Sandveld Nature Reserve

North West, Bloemhof

It comprises a range of habitats (particularly kalahari Thornveld), and boasts a checklist of approximately 295 bird species. A two to three day stay in the pleasant surroundings is recommended.
