A zoological garden or zoo is a facility in which animals are confined within enclosures, displayed to the public, and in which they may also be bred. South Africa is home to only a few zoo's. The Pretoria Zoo is the only zoo in South Africa with National Status and is rated as one of the top zoos in the world.
