Wingate Park Golf Course is situated in Moreleta Park, Pretoria. Lush and luxuriant in the wet summer months and well groomed throughout the year, the championship Wingate Park course has been rated among the top 20 in South Africa.
Wingate Park was considered good enough to host the 1993 South African Masters when Tony Johnstone took the honours, and is a regular venue for provincial amateur events.
An abundance of trees in a country atmosphere makes a round at Wingate Park Golf Course a very pleasant experience, providing the tough inward loop does not work too hard on the nerves.
The 388-metre par-four 11th is an excellent driving hole, mainly because a huge blue gum tree on the right makes it inadvisable to be on that side of the fairway.
