
The World of Birds is the largest bird park in Africa with more than 3000 different species of birds. The park is also home to monkeys as well as numerous other types of exciting and colourful species.
The World of Birds also has small animals of 400 different species uniquely presented in more than 100 spacious landscaped walk-through aviaries. It is here where one can easily allow oneself to relax and absorb the serenity whist walking within the midst of the most intimate closeness with nature.
These aviaries are spaced over 4 ha of land and framed by the back of Table Mountain, the Twelve Apostles, Constantiaberg, Chapman’s Peak and Lion’s Head allowing for some beautiful views.
The walkways in the aviaries permit you to enter the birds paradise and see them up close. Situated in the heart of Hout Bay the natural surroundings are perfect for these magnificent birds and animals. Some of the birds you will see include owls, parrots, eagles and cranes.
